Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Jim graduated from St. Peter's College in 1970. One of his greatest achievements was being nominated to be in "Who's Who" in American Colleges and Universities. After graduation, Jim became a partner in, Modern Amusements, which operated several concessions in Seaside Heights, NJ. A few years later, along with the concessions, Jim started a distributing company which sold novelty and impulse items. Jim retired in 1993 at an early age.

In 1985, while wintering in Florida, Jim obtained his Real Estate license. He began buying and selling real estate as an investment for himself. He moved to Florida to be a full time resident and joined Diane Turton, Realtors in jupiter as a realtor. Jim enjoys helping others realize their dreams and obtain their goals in the active and interesting Florida real estate market.
